Board-certified in family medicine and preventive medicine, with certification in addiction medicine, Dr. Murtuza partners with practices across primary care, IV hydration, med spa & aesthetics, hormone therapy, weight management, and telehealth — with the protocols, chart review, and availability that state boards expect.
Dr. Tameem Murtuza is a double board-certified physician in family medicine and preventive medicine, also certified in addiction medicine, based in the Chicago area. He earned his MD from Windsor University School of Medicine in 2012 and completed his family medicine residency at St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey, in 2019.
His career spans hospital medicine, integrated addiction treatment, and medical leadership. As Medical Director at Eva's Village in Paterson, he led integrated primary care, mental health, and substance-use programs and supervised advanced practice providers. He has directed med spa and IV therapy operations, founded his own virtual direct primary care practice — True Balance Health — and currently serves as a medical director for a Texas primary care and med spa practice.
Dr. Murtuza is also a clinical research investigator on trials spanning GLP-1 medications, vaccines, hypertension, and heart failure therapies, and he teaches as a clinical preceptor for medical students from Rocky Vista University, the University of Guadalajara, and Saint James School of Medicine.
